Men’s Ministry

First Christian Church in Byrdstown has a Monthly Men’s Breakfast at one of the local restaurants on the first Saturday of each month at 7 a.m. Over the years, this monthly fellowship has been vibrant and well attended. 

The men of First Christian Church enjoy a one-hour fellowship and prayer meeting while having a good breakfast at one of several local restaurants. The location is rotated around so the men can enjoy breakfast from each of the four locally owned, home-cooking, eateries.

The fellowship begins with ordering the meal, then discussing the prayer needs within our church congregation. Prior to eating breakfast, one of the men leads a prayer for our congregation and community needs. 

During various periods throughout the years, this ministry is led by someone who will prepare a 5-minute devotional reading prior to the prayer and this encouraging and inspirational message helps the men of our church with their weekly spiritual walk.

Having a devotional leader for this men’s ministry is currently an opportunity for one of the men in our congregation to volunteer to resurrect this monthly devotional time that means so much to our men’s group. We encourage men within our congregation to get involved in the monthly men’s breakfast and we also welcome visitors to our church to join in this fellowship as they consider placing their membership with First Christian Church in Byrdstown.
